I much prefer the actual Kindle as it reads like paper and is easier on the eyes than backlit screens. But yes, ebooks are quite wonderful. I really enjoy that the libraries allow you to check them out now as well. ^_^

Kindle's also a touchscreen, no? I have the blue light adjustment thing on the phone, anyway. So neither will really capture that feeling of an actual book.

I'm not a fan of reading long sentences/books on my phone. Comics on the other hand work perfectly on the phone. But indeed the prices are ridiculously low, but what do you expect from just a pdf :D

@Kia E-ink? It being touchscreen is precisely the problem.

@Chaudfontaine Audiobooks are laughably expensive, though. 43 euros for one book from a series of three? 120+ for all of them?

E-ink reads like paper is the point. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/E_Ink Why is touch screen a problem so long as it isn’t backlit? There’s no eye strain if you still need an outside light source, etc. Also, I have an older non-touchscreen version.

@Chaudfontaine But what if you want to drive a car while enjoying your book? Would you just, I don't know, focus on each of those tasks at hand on separate occasions?

@KKG Ah, that's a shame. I personally enjoy books, it feels great to immerse myself in the story. If the writing is good, that is.

@Kia I've just never found touchscreens comfortable to use.
