I'm just curious as to how many are there out there learning japanese like I do?

Learning process is never meant to be alone!

@KaleNovice do you learn by attending courses, via apps, a combination or both or other means?
If apps, any you can recommand?

During my university time I once attended the basic Japanese course. But most of the time I have been on self-learning and I have just completed N4 Level. To be very honest I've not been really active in learning Japanese though recently because of lacking motivation. Back then when I was very active in learning I used websites, apps, movies, and even games to learn Japanese. I have used lots of apps but If you really want me to suggest, I'd say "Yomikata Z" , "Obenkyo", Tango Risto" . Yomikata Z is for learning vocab, especially for those who are trying to sit for JLPT exam, Obenkyo is for the beginner and above and teaches you about grammar and stuff (this was the one I used when I first started learning Japanese), and Tango Risto is for you to read simple Japanese news...

Self Learning? Well motivation is the most important thing to keep the beginner going! Keep it up!

Thank you, I'll look out for them.
I've very recentely started (again) and mainly use apps. Though I got a "home course kit"-thingy for the time when the more advanced stuff is coming, so that I have at least a bit of support.
Still at the stage of repeating Hiragana and Katakana on a daily basis to drill them in and learning basic Kanji and grammar. Start of N1, if you will.
