I loved the Stain arc in the anime. It was short, but the pacing didn't feel rushed at all. Midoriya, Todoroki, and Iida vs Stain was amazing! The animation and dialogue were both great. Can't wait to see the anime only episode next week!

That's right. Hopefully it will not take so much for the third season.

I feel like it's going to be a massive disappointment. It's also a plot hole. Thought he couldn't use his form for very long.
But I eagerly wait for next episode.

I don't really see how it'd be a plot hole. All Might can only use his power for 1 hour per day now, but I'm pretty sure the only time he's used his power this day was for a few minutes when they were announcing which teachers everyone was fighting. Also the exam is timed, and I doubt it's long enough to make him reach his limit.

I might be wrong though, I haven't read the manga.

Ok. So I was wrong. He was still pretty damn awesome.
I think it was thanks to the weights on his body he kept complaining about.

Yeah, this episode was amazing. I liked how All Might was pretending to be a villain even though he was still smiling, and I loved the battle at the end. And I agree that the weights played a big part, if he was at full power, they would've been doomed.

Just started the anime and I love it so far. Kind of wish I'd seen it before doing the Academy arc for Kingsguard though lol

How have the, let's say, ~100 chapters been?

Focus on villains and side characters?
    Character progression for them?
General tone and themes of the arcs?
Presence and progression of Deku and All Might?

I'm going to try do this relatively spoiler-free

Good, all the villains have been well-developed and the cast has seen meaningful additions through the likes of Mirio etc.

Bakugo got some really good development, and so did Kirishima

The thing I enjoy about Boku no Hero is that the balance between light-hearted and serious moments is always really well handled, and that hasn't changed - there's been enough of both to keep both camps happy, Though I do think the more serious moments are starting to have even wider consequences both for our heroes and for the universe as a whole

Can't say too much without spoiling you, but excellent as usual

This "as usual" worries me, as the two of them are a big part of the reason as to why I put BnHA on hold in the first place.

Though nice to hear (and kinda to expect) that Bakugo delivered, he's among the most interesting characters in the series and that Kirishima got some screentime is good, too.

Interesting, it's the opposite for me; it was their relationship that got me interested

Bakugo is the best written character in Class 1-A for me, even though his personality is very one-dimensional on the outside, he's a pretty intelligent guy

It's just that they're so cliché; been there, done that, there's nothing new or interesting about them.
Their personalities and characters are wrapped up differentely compared to their counterparts in other series, but boil down to the same in the end.
Better said would be that they're underutilized, or possibly in the wrong roles.
Two people born quirkless in this world are both granted a quirk by someone else. Yet do they not feel like that at all, it's as if that trait is simply thrown away (up untill the point I read).

There just hasn't been anything special that would make them stand out for my among all the other main characters and their mentors.
Simply nothing that would make me interested in them, together with that rather bland power they have. Even considering that it ties way deeper into something and even serves as symbolysm itself.

Hard to go with a series if you don't care about the central protagonist and I already forced myself through Naruto with that problem and I'm not really eager to repeat that ^^
(though it was worse in Naruto's case as I disliked a majority of the main cast)

My hubby and I started watching the anime, once that was done I just had to read the manga. I caught up in two days. This manga, for me is breath of fresh air. I actually care for these characters, even though the story is still very young. Also All Might and Deku are fuel for my heart, their relationship tugs at my heart strings. Overall I really love it, and it's even better because this is my oldest sons very first anime and he is all about it right now.
