Let's talk about boxing here.
Alright!? Who is your favorite? If you had to pick top 3 fights of all time.
And top funny incident in boxing?
-I watch it on and off, so sometimes I'm not up to speed. But have been wanna be boxer for really really long time *Cough mostly since Ippo cough*
That's what anime does to you
Go on and try joining some gym, might be cool
Favorite boxer? I don't need to answer this.
My Top 3 fights? I haven't watched every major fights since time immemorial but the best 3 I watched so far:
Erik Morales vs. Marco Antonio Barrera 1
Julio Cesar Chavez vs. Meldrick Taylor 1
Diego Corrales vs. Jose Luis Castillo 1
As you can see, there are more than 1 fight among those pair of boxers and there are reasons. I suggest you watch them.
Funny incidents? I think the following are "funny":
Efe Ajagba vs. Curtis Harper (Harper walked out of the ring once the bell rang)
Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor (Mayweather, a boxing legend, is fighting a first-time boxer)
Kostya Tszyu vs. Zab Judah (KO is funny)
Floyd Mayweather vs. Victor Ortiz (KO is funny)
Milan Melindo vs. Juan Esquer (Esquer's acting is hilarious)
Marcos Maidana vs. Adrien Broner (they dry humped each other during the fight)
Evander Holyfield vs. Riddick Bowe (a guy in parachute accidentally landed inside)
Riddick Bowe vs. Andrew Golota (there's a riot)
Floyd Mayweather vs. Zab Judah (there's also a riot)
Pre-fight interviews and antics of boxers such as Tyson Fury, Adrien Broner, Muhammad Ali, Hector Camacho
Not really funny but creative: Ring entrances of Naseem Hamed and Adrien Broner
Lots of funny stuffs by lesser known boxers
Lots of Larry Merchant conducted post-fight interviews
KSI vs Logan Paul 2
My top 3 fights would be Israel Vasquez vs Rafael Marquez trilogy. I always try to erase the fourth fight in my memory. In terms of ebb and flow, brutality, display of resilience, grit, heart, boxing skills, and sportsmanship, nothing can top those.
Monsipour vs Sitchatchawal. That fight left me on the edge of my seat.
The fight is actually more popular and talked about than fights of some upcoming prospects.
If the fight goes in a spectacular fashion and has better action than other great fights of this year, it will surely make history by winning awards such as Event of the Year or even Fight of the Year.
Man, that fight is gold. They may be considered by some as one of those so-called paper champs but they delivered. The last 3 rounds, it seems that they're both unbreakable until the stoppage.
Is it Manny Pacquiao?
It's Mike Tyson.
Damn, I thought it was Conor McGregor
Nah, he's a comedian, not a boxer.
I’m going to be watching that fight I won’t lie - I watched the first one and it was actually pretty entertaining. With actual world champions on the undercard the event won’t be as top heavy but the two main guys will probably look very unskilled in comparison.
Also, fairly new in to boxing but my favourite fight from this year has been Joshua vs Ruiz, Joshua’s a very big name here in the UK and rightly so given his fight record up to that point, but Ruiz dismantled him in ways nobody expected given his physique
That's why if the fight delivers well, it might win awards. Being first timers as a pro (first fight is not a pro fight).
AJ-Ruiz 1 might win the Upset of the Year.
So the fight just happened, and as expected it looked VERY scrappy in comparison to the undercard. However, it was incredibly entertaining and both men should be respected massively for what they’ve done both for the profile of boxing and for YouTube as a platform
I do hope they continue their pro boxing career, even not to become champion.
Well, KSI’s been called out by another British media personality who goes by the name of Tommy Fury (the younger brother of Tyson), who is a legitimate professional boxer right at the start of his career. I don’t think that’s a fight he should take given the difference in experience levels, but it looks like he’s got offers there. Logan’s always been interested in MMA so he might move to the octagon?
If that challenge is for $$$ then why not?
But you know what, I'm interested seeing PewDiePie in a pro boxing match.
Fight week for Ruiz vs. Joshua rematch. Who's your pick?
One hilarious thing in this fight series is that many British fans were (and some are still) enraged with the outcome of the first fight. Some say Ruiz doesn't deserve the victory because, according to some casual fans, him winning heavyweight world titles is a "disgrace" to the sport because he's fat. Silly reason isn't it?
Joshua will for sure be hungry for that win but I'm picking Ruiz for the rematch
That speaks more about Joshua than it is about Ruiz. Losing to an underdog is one thing but losing to a fat underdog is another.
Now, that AJ has tasted what Ruiz can offer, I think he'll have more respect for Ruiz and will be content to use his superior skills and athleticism to box from a distance en route to a boring decision.
Having said that, Ruiz is still a live dog primarily because of Joshua's lack of head movement. For all the talk, about his amateur pedigree, his head movement is still very suspect. If he stays in the pocket for so long and fails to bob his head or clinch when Ruiz is in his comfort range, he'd have a long night ahead of him once again.
