Ho Chi Minh, Hanoi and the Mekong Delta are really amazing. Angkor Wat is a place I still really need to go. Great photos, thanks for sharing!

Have a photo of baby-faced me in the Mekong Delta from four years ago as payment.

Shiiiieeeet, I thought no one remembered that. Forumpiece died before I got the chance to finish it, although admittedly, I coulda probably finished it before the website died. But if you'd like me to, I might do one of these for another trip. I'm in Portugal right now.

Or just take another look at the peachfuzz on my 18 year old face.

Whoahhhh beautiful shots of a beautiful country!! (Worth the mobile data I am spending now xD)
The 4th picture was my favorite. Will check out the album once I get some Wifi xD

Among all those lovely places, which one is your #1 fave? Something that left a big impression on you? And what's your most memorable experience there?

    that's a big one.

Hanoi was our real city culture shock, so that will always be in our mind. How suicidal it was in the traffic and still pretty safe and beautiful.
The big nature spot for me was Ninh Bin, Tam coc which is basicly a ha long bay on the land. + we rented a scooter there so it was pretty cool to just drive to those places.
But the thing that stayed with us the most where the killing fields/the prison in phnom phen. despite being a far-from-my-bed show it was pretty nasty. We got Auswitz here but even those camps are petty advanced in comparison with that. Also we visited a anti-mine museum in siem riep/ankor wath (with an orphanage) which showed us the strenght and the will to survive even after 40-50% of the population was put away in those camps. That last one made the cambodja story for us more "bearable" since we got to see the people who are helping the others.

Both countries (Vietnam & Cambodja) were great for visting. This was our first out-of-europe trip and it was worth every penny.
Vietnam will stay with me for the nature and the culture (temples etc.)
Cambodja tops the viets in hospitaly and friendlyness, the history was described less one-sided (they were there own enemy so no "scapegoat" like the americans) and the temple of Ankor what was just amazing.

The long trip really made you appreciate the people and their culture (including their history) more. That's really cool! I am very interested in going to Vietnam. I am also the type who would like to interact more with the locals and learn about their history instead of just taking pictures xD Do you think your trip length was perfect or would it be possible to just go to all of the places for just 2 weeks and still appreciate the bigger things the way you did?

I would then go to the north of vietnam (Hanoi - Sapa - Ha long bai- Ninh Bin (Tam coc)) and maybe Ho Chi Minh, but that's just a big city, not as memorable than hanoi for us.

But for us our tour over 4 weeks was perfect. 3 weeks in vietnam and 1 week cambodja (PP & Ankor wat).

If you want to do Vietnam & Cambodja in 2 weeks that might be a bit too much on so little time
