To be honest, I just found about this idea on Youtube and I decided to do a little comparison between King and Impel Down's known wardens, namely, Magellan and Hannyabal. First, let me show their appearances: Spoiler: Magellan Spoiler: Hannyabal Spoiler: King the Wildfire Now, let's discuss their similarities: Clothing - They all wear a black suit with lots of buttons. Wings - They have wings on their backs. Headgear - They all have something on their heads, (Magellan with his horns, Hannyabal with his Egyptian inspired headgear, and King with his Pica-esque mask) Their differences: King's wings resembles to those of a bird or an angel whereas Magellan and Hannyabal are more like devil/bat wings. King's insignia on his collars is different, a skull instead of Impel Down's logo like those of Magellan and Hannyabal. Now, we do know someone from Impel Down who dons those insignia on his collars. Spoiler: Shiliew To think that both King and Shiliew are now pirates, I guess it's safe to say that having skulls displayed on your uniform instead of Impel Down's logo is the most likely action to take. The timeline also fits perfectly. We all know Magellan got promoted from Vice-Warden to Warden 22 years ago. And King was present at Wano 20 years ago during Kaido's siege. So betrween those time he could have joined Kaido. Another angle I try to draw parallels between them is the overall concept of their designs. Magellan resembles a Baphomet while Hannyabal is likely based from Anubis. So to speculate about King's design based on those two, I'd assume his design would be related to a mythological creature linked to death/evil (Satan/Lucifer?). But, if we take their wings into the equation, does it point to something different for King, perhaps to a less evil creature (Angel/Fallen Angel)? Or do his wings have something to do with his probable Zoan fruit (Pegasus, Griffin)? Or maybe a Winged-Lion Zoan fruit with him being named King, as in King of the Jungle?
