Usopp character for sure is from AFRICA...
Frankky should be from any part of Scandanavia ...and Chopper from Iceland
I hope they use a real goat for Sengoku's goat. One Piece is gonna be one expensive adaptation.
UPDATE: It has been announced by the producer Marty Adelstein in a video message at Jump Festa 2018 that the One Piece Hollywood Live Action TV Series will start with the East Blue Arc and it will broaden from there. He promises to create "a true One Piece" after he discussed the project personally with Oda.
On one hand I think live action mostly sucks... On the other hand this:
... So I have hope and I'm curious since I actually believe it'll be cool haha
There aren’t many live-action anime adaptations that I like, but I’m putting my faith in this project. I’m glad Oda is working closely with the studio and that he is always thinking about the fans. This is no Dragon Ball Evolution or Death Note.
I'm very intrigued who'll be the casts tho.
It sounds more and more promising as time goes by... But I'll wait and see what comes out of it, still sceptical.
I will watch the episodes and screenshotting them for potential memes.
But yeah, sounds promising I guess!
KEK. I geddit.
I reaaally want to see who will be Ace when the time comes. Jayson Momoa could be gooood.
NIGHTMARE IT IS! WHY WOULD ODA-SENSEI APPROVED THIS? HE'S MEMORY WAS ALTERED BY THE
Memo Memo no Mi!!!!
Trust Oda and give it a try!
I love Jason Momoa, but wouldn't he be a bit too old to play a 20 year old?
Wouldn't be anything new for Hollywood
Not really, I think he can be young looking given the right clothing and attidute.
Age isint the only thing I think, its the whole personality, body etc.
I 'm not jumping on this hype train...
I think that most of you guys, don't know or have forgotten that this is a common trend for artist and their work.
Since the beginning of our civilizations, artists get their work copied or "translated" to other media. For example, I bet that if you were to analize both Romeo and Juliet from Shakespeare's scripts and any of the modern adaptations, you'll see the original work is always butchered when compared to its adaptations.
And like this, there should be a whole lot of other examples. Cinema, will never be a full replacement for a nice book, and as such, LIVE ACTION will never become a replacement for ANIME. So, my advise, to anyone looking at this with fearful eyes is:
Don't look at this as Hollywood taking an excellent anime and trying to copy it into Live Action... but rather, as them KNOWING that Anime will never be replaced, but nevertheless taking this amazing work of art and adapt it, so that muggles (joking.... I mean people who don't care or don't know about anime) get to know Oda's masterpiece...
This may be a good chance for people to learn about One Piece, of course you won't like it if you compare it with the original work (manga/anime), but if you take a step back and analize it as an adaptation, not a straight copy of Oda's work... you may enjoy it as what it really is... not an original work, but an Adaptation....
At least they should let Oda to select the casting crew..
That would be a great idea (but it might be hard, he might need to be on break, I'm ok with that but people have been hating on the fact he takes breaks).
