    Thor Ragnarok

It was funny... had some stunning action scenes and quiet entertaining. They tried a different approach this time and obviously marvel fans would love it.

Just watched Justice League and it's really a Good movie :) also I think it was a necessary step for DC to continue story and bring focus on characters in DC Universe. I'm sure excited to see their upcoming movies...

    Justice League 8/10

Thoughts? I found it really enjoyable as a movie date with my partner. The action was done quite well - never really sticking to one sort of speed, if that makes sense. Instead of heavily relying on slow motion, they also went real-time and the speed-force style of movement, always mixing it up as the movie went on. Which is a plus. Definitely a movie I'd watch again on TV, or a movie I'd occasionally rent when the family gets together. Negatives? Personally, I felt the movie went too fast. I almost wished it were thirty minutes longer because the characters were likeable, they had charisma, they deserved more individual development.

Do I think this movie deserves a chance? Yes. Deserves sequels and spin-offs? Yes. But to elaborate, I simply want to see more development regarding universe building. I like that DC is competing with Marvel but I don't want them to simply emulate Marvel. DC has the potential to be even better, at least if they cast aside the rating and went full R. I want to see Slade Wilson, Trigon, the real Lex Luthor (not the silicon valley nerd from BvS), the league of shadows...all that. I want to see the Teen Titans, a Starfire movie with Blackfire as a villain. A Raven movie that could somehow tie in Cyborg and Beast Boy...

I went off topic. Watch Justice League. It's good. Don't let 'pro' reviewers tell you how the movie is. See for yourself.

    Thor Ragnarok 8/10

This is not a low score. In fact, this Thor movies is actually the best Thor movie of it's trilogy. Personally, I think I enjoyed it as much as I did because I skipped a Marvel movie. Sometimes, the formula can be a bit meh. I'll be honest, I was surprised by how light-hearted the movie was. I thought for sure there would be more death, destruction and horrible, horrible sadness and angst. But the trailer did not indicate as such so I went in as a blank canvas.

The movies was hilarious - the type of humor you would expect from a Marvel movie. Quick-witted, dry and clever. They paid homage to past installments and other movies which gave the audience, such as myself, a sense of...distance, so to speak. I am impressed with the story that they have managed to weave from what seems like...almost 8-9 years now? I forget when the first Iron Movie came out.

One thing I felt this movie had that the previous installments didn't: a super powerful villain. Hela was ridiculously badass in terms of ability. Without a doubt in my mind, she has to be one of the most powerful villains I have ever seen in a Marvel movie (on par, or maybe better then Ego). The only problem I had with her was, she came off as very cliche. Her methods were dry, unoriginal, always preferring to settle conflicts with her strength rather then with her mind. So in that regard, I prefer Loki in many ways. Overall though, I felt she was a plus to the movie and not a minus.
