BEWARE: it spoils Denjiro's identity.
It's nice but full of spoilers.
It's not available for me
and now ?
I love the song and animation, but so many spoilers. I guess most One Piece openings do, like back in Alabasta when Robin appears to be a Strawhat before joining.
It works great now, thanks.
Is Denjiro the one next to Shutenmaru?
Yep, Denjiro is Kyoshiro
Why.... did they add Yasu in there? What a random thing to include.
They spoiled Yasu's death, Kaido's calamities, Kaido's Devil Fruit power, Sanji's Germa suit, Denjiro, Luffy captured ...
I just wanna understand how the hell did they know that Kyoshiro is Denjiro ? Did Oda really give them the green light to put that in the opening before it's even revealed in the manga ? weird
Isn't it possible that they just showed the big names in Wano that have appeared in the manga? Denjiro could still be a secret. I know you'll say that they showed the Nine Red Scabbards in order, but we can still have doubts. Although the odds are on Kyoshiro being Denjiro.
Yeah that's possible, but i doubt it.
Kyoshiro being Denjiro is already the subject of many theories. It makes sense, and it explains a lot about Kyoshiro's behaviour.
but let's stay optimistic and hope that what they showed in the opening was a false flag.
Tekking101 has a theory that the original Denjiro from 20 years ago is dead and that Kyoshiro will take up the mantel in his place (strictly to get rid of Orochi/Kaido), thus making Kyoshiro, on the surface, a member of the Nine Red Scabbards.
Animation-wise this is the best opening by FAR imo, major step up from recent openings. People complaining about spoilers but at least we don’t get a billion shots of the Straw Hats on the ship like we have done in the past - the entire opening is context relevant and I like that
The song is good without being an instant favourite, but will probably grow on me if this arc is as good as the trailers have looked
A very spoilery opening and the song isn't that great either. It's alright but that's about it.
But it's so happy
Most fans are primarily manga readers, so the opening having the spoilers is a reminder for them to watch the key scenes when they get animated. Super-long series run into this problem, and it's much better than the stereotypical stuff from most openings/closings (like the early years of One Piece).
I assume Oda had to OK it.
Agree with this. Most previous openings show the crew goofing around and then chased by a Marine battleship before showing in-episode spoilers.
