Does anyone read webtoons here? What are your favourite ones?
Finished ones I read and liked: Bastard, Girls of the Wild's
On-going ones I'm following: Hooky, Sweet Home, I'm the Grim Reaper, I Love Yoo, Witch Creek Road, Conspiracy Research Club
Stuff I plan to read: Rise from the Ashes, Oh! Holy, unTouchable, Cheese in the Trap, A Messed Up Fairytale, The Stories of Those Around us
Favourite Webtoon: Bastard
Yep, I love webtoons!
I would say my favorite is Tower of God, everything about it is just amazing.
Others I currently read are Lumine, Ghost Wife, Aerial Magic and unOrdinary. I need to finish Noblesse and Bastard and catch up to all the other stuff xD
@Grin unTouchable was good. Also how's Hooky? I think it's on my plan to read list.
I did kind of check the first few chapters and the idea is really fun. I'll have to get around to it.
Hooky is actually getting close to finishing! The author recently had a hiatus to get the final chapters done with the polish they deserve. But to put it shortly, Hooky is a very sweet tale about two wizard/witch twins who miss their bus to magic school, and the hijinks that follow. It has good comedy, memorable characters and one of my favourite art styles. It looks lovely, like a fairytale in Webtoon form. It does get a bit heavier as it goes on with the witches vs. humans schism, but it's fairly standard. There's also a timeskip towards the end so you get to see the kids all grown up, which I thought was nice after seeing them mature and grow as the toon went on.
I would recommend Hooky, you're just in time to wait for the finale with everyone.
Maybe I should read it once it's finished then so I won't have to wait for new chapters. Once I catch up with ongoing stuff I actually find it hard to stay up to date
Also I'm wondering if you'd like Aerial Magic.
Huh, I feel like I started this before. I'll put it behind my ear.
Get tooooooo ittt
the psychological development of the characters is next level, I've started rereading it recently due to the changes I've noticed and how they are connected to the past. Such an amazing ride, it's ending soon if I'm not mistaken
Anyways! I love webtoons, I've spent so much time on em, most are Korean and Chinese, at some point I kinda put everything on hold though, however I've been reading ever so more recently
Ongoing ones I follow are; Lookism, Cheese in the Trap, I Love Yoo, Age Matters, LUFF, True Beauty, Freaking Romance, I was born a King's Daughter
Few that are on hiatus; Unlovable Replacement, Kind of Confidential, The Moon that Rises in the Day
Some I've put on hold and still wanna go on include; Love Advice from the Great Duke, A Good Day to be a Dog, Odd Girl Out, The Gamer, Refund High School, Tower of God, Oh! Holy, Untouchable.. Jezus I should stop.
And many I've finished such as Girls of the Wild's and My Boo... Bottom line, I love webtoons. At some point I dropped manga lmao. I think I've bought some fast passes on the line webtoon app too.. And then there's the ones that aren't on Naver.
One I really got my eyes on to read rn is Solo Leveling! The art looks amazing and the story really grabbed my interest
I've been getting into Webtoons lately.
-Refund Highschool (I downloaded the app because a friend recced this to me and I thought "Why the hell not?", next thing you know I'm feeling feels)
-Always Human (because I'm gay and it was recced by the author of Mage And Demon Queen)
-Hooky (it was cute and then feels started happening, I just want everyone to be okay)
Caught Up On But Technically It's Not Finished:
-Aerial Magic (because I liked Always Human and this is by the same author)
-Mage And Demon Queen (because I'm gay)
-Adventures Of God (some of the panels were reposted around Reddit a couple of times and I found it on Webtoon shortly after getting the app)
-Little Matcha Girl (seems good so far and I like the art)
-My Dictator Boyfriend (because it's by the same people that make Adventures Of God and who doesn't like a gay romance intertwined with comedy and political maneuverings?)
-Four Leaf (good art and I really like Lupe and Lina's friendship)
-Choco Latte (super wholesome shoujo antics and calming art)
-Version Day And Night (even though I don't draw, I for some reason always like stories about people who do draw, also pretty amazing art)
-Shark Girl Umi (genki girls are a gift from God, and it's no different here)
-Lalin's Curse (the art style is pretty neat and I like the suspense so far)
-Sunny Side Skies (read this for that 100 episodes of canvas challenge, it's pretty wholesome)
-The Cafe Where We Met (the plot is still in the early stages of set-up but the art is nice so I guess I'll see where this goes)
Need To Catch Up On:
-Tower Of God (I like it so far, if any one of you spoil this for me I will make you suffer)
-Winter Moon (it's just sorta in my queue waiting forever to be read)
webtoons, oh man. I read a lot of those, the format is so handy
nr 1 for me: Windbreaker
Noblesse, Hardcore leveling warrior, god of high school, Peerless dad, Solo leveling, A returner's magic should be special, Unordinary, ToG.
(honorable mentions to flow, eleceed, suicide boy and terror man)
and too many drama's or romcoms to mention: lookism, true beauty, age matters, I love Yoo
Hooky was a nice and refreshing artstyle, I liked the story also.
Lore Olympus is godlike in terms of artstyle.
Girls of the wild's was action to romance, pretty nice action and good story
new webtoons i'm digging:
The stranding fields
The red king
I'm the grim reaper
There are quite a lot of good webtoons. My list:
- Solo Leveling (come on, just look at my profile pic)
- Tower of God
- Noblesse (just look at my signature)
- also seconding Eleceed but I'll have to see more to really get into it
- The Breaker (this isn't webtoon though, just manhwa)
- Peak (pretty sure this isn't webtoon too, but it's damn good, too bad it hasn't continued)
Can't remember anything else but the top three will always be Solo Leveling, Tower of God and Noblesse. Lol.
And it had Dal Dal "I want at least 5 children" Choi.
My sole reason for wanting to read this in the first place was the art actually, but some friends I know had started it, and said the art is but a piece of the whole amazing picture. I hope to get to it soon
Indeed, the whole webtoon is an art. You won't regret it.
I love webtooons!
GofW Is my all time fave, still read it from time to time.
What I am reading now:
Eleceed, is also by the artist of GofW. So far I like it alot! The 'cat' is so badass and it has alot of funny moments
Purple Hyacinth seems really awsome, I like the story and art.
Dice has been quite interesting.
True Beaty hahaha I love it.
Lookism, I dont need to say anything else than epic.
Sirens Lament and Wind Breaker I had on hiatus, but I liked the story in both and I am gonna read them again. Also the art is awsome in sirens lament.
Choco latte is just cutesy.
I like these kind of mysteries and what-if's.
Okay people. Anyone got cute (preferably Korean... Chinese ones often go to ntr I feel like) webtoons/manhwa I could read. And no idc about cliches, if anything I kinda like them. I'm in the mood for a good romance but feel like I've read the majority..
If you want cute, Hooky is a good one (there are feels later on, but I promise that the main kids end up alright in the end). There are also romantic subplots and dear God they're adorable. It's also complete so you can binge through all of it in one sitting.
Okay! I'm not totally a fan of the supernatural/fantasy genre when it comes to romance but I'll give it a go c: and I'm not sure if I'm gonna finish this in one sitting lmao 200+ chaps. ty for the rec~
