“ People often say "If it's one-on-one, Kaido will win." On land, sea, and air... among all living things, he is a pirate who is known as the "strongest creature"!!! ” — Ending narration of Kaido's introduction. Is this Oda overshadowing how the 'king of hundred beasts' can be taken down ? This is more of trying to 'read between the lines' than a theory per se. We have so little to go on and there are no detailed descriptions of how Kaido was defeated in the past. But we do know that he was defeated. Can we assume that he was defeated by the teams and not any individual? If we consider this assumption, Luffy might have to forfeit his way of handling the biggest baddie in the arc on his own and take help from his vice captain.
