Fairly simple, although gas prices vary from state-to-state as well as gas mileage your vehicle gets.

Let's say an average of $3.00/gallon and you get 25 miles to the gallon, that's 68.468 gallons required for the trip. $205.94.

the math behind this is correct. the rest I have no clue about because it also depends on your driving style, car, what kind of roads you take (highway or a lot of stopping at red lights), what you pump (diesel, benzine,...)

The figures I used were from I last drove. I had a non-diesel engine but also drove like a maniac so my cost would be around $350-$400 :P
